WALTER LEE RAMSEY, 44, of Rt. 2, Smithsburg, died Saturday morning at Washington County Hospital after a three month illness. Born in Sewickley, Pa., he was the son of Robert Lee and Laura May Laughner Ramsey.
A member of the Methodist church in Freedom, Pa., he was a veteran of World War II. He was employed at Antietam Motors.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ruth; one son, Gary C. Ramsey at home; three daughters, Mrs. Janet L. Griffith of Funkstown, Mrs. Norma L. Sentz of Walkersville and Miss Larrain M. Ramsey at home; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy M. Swearingen of Glenwillard, Pa. and Mrs. Ella Louise Chamberlain and Mrs. Gladys L. Hughes, both of Aliquippa, Pa., and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Elmer R. Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
