Dorothy (Ramsey) Swearingen, 90, a resident of Crescent Township since 1954, passed peacefully at Hillview Home, Coraopolis on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Born in Sewickley on October 4, 1929, she was one of four children to the late Robert Lee and Laura Mae (Laughner) Ramsey. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Warren Swearingen and most recently preceded in death by her son Larry Swearingen. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Linda LaVogue
of Akron, OH; two sisters Ella chamberlain of Aliquippa and Gladys Hughes of Midway. Dorothy will be remembered first and foremost as a wonderful mother, a hard worker who always loved to stay busy. She was a friendly cashier at Safrans Market, Sewickley and an office clerk for Jackson Abrasive. Dorothy was a member of Glenwillard United Methodist Church.
