Quote from Families of Washington County, VA.: Walter Beattie Jackson and Cloydine Ernest Dunn were cousins, their parents being half-siblings. The couple did not have any children; and Walter's will left his entire estate to Cloydine as his only heir.

I am aware that in the 1930 Census for Smyth Co., VA, Walter says his mother was born in Mass. But the 1880 census and the 1900 census for Josephine do not agree with that. In the 1880 census Josephine is still living with her parents who state that they were born in NY and that Josephine was born in Louisiana. By the 1900 census Josephine and Walter Sr. were married and stated that she was born in LA. Also in 1910, Josephine is born in LA.
