A private family service will be held for former Cleveland Hill School Superintendent Walter J. Heffley, 81, who died Wednesday (March 14, 1990) in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga.

A native of Johnstown, Pa., Heffley was a graduate of Buffalo State Teachers College and the University of Buffalo. He began teaching in a one-room schoolhouse in North Evans in 1937 and in 1939 moved to Cleveland Hill to teach seventh and eighth grades...
