Daily Times-News, The Thursday, March 24, 1977 Mrs.. Viola Murray ISLEY, 80, of Rt 6, Burlington, died Wednesday evening at her residence after three years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Sarah Garrett Murray, and the widow of Joe Hubert ISLEY, who died in 1934. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, Burlington Senior Citizens, and Lutheran Church Women. The funeral will be conducted at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Friday at 3 pm. by the Rev. Dennis Setzer, former pastor at SL Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the cemetery at Mt Pleasant Lutheran Church- Survivors include two daughters, Mrs.. Ruth Teague and Mrs.. Christine Whitesell, both of Burlington; a son. H.V. ISLEY of Rt. 6, Burlington; three sisters, Mrs.. Joy Fogleman of Graham; Mrs.. Jewel Fogleman of Haw River, and Mrs.. Nellie Shoe of Snow Camp; two brothers, J.C. Murray and W.L. Murray, both of Snow Camp; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The body will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 pm.
