    Thora Lowery, 64, of Alanson, died July 15, 1983 at her home.
    Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home. Rev. John Carr will officiated and burial follow in the Littlefield Township Cemetery.
    The former Thora Sadler was born Aug. 5, 1918 in Alanson. She attended Alanson schools and on June 10, 1934 was married to Gilbert Woodruff in Alanson. He was killed in action during World War II and on Sept. 24, 1946, she married Samuel Lowery in Alanson. The couple have made their home there since that time.
    Mrs. Lowery is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Norman (Marciel) Mitchell of Huntington Beach, Calif., Mrs. Thomas (Nancy) Ford Jr., of Pellston, Mrs. Gail (Deanna) Bunker of St. Clair, Mrs. Donald (Judy) Feutz of Grand Rapids; two sons, Max Lowery of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Samuel Jr. of Alanson; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Avis) Zeigler of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Hudson (Orva) Kelps of Cadillac; several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call at the Stone Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
