About Thomas Todd

Thomas Todd was born abt. 1795 possibly in Virginia. Washington County, VA records show that he is a son of James Todd that died 1802 in Washington County, Virginia and lived near the Edmison/Edmondson families on the Holstein River, and there are land records proving James Todd's close proximity in Washington County to the Edmiston/Edmondson's. Thomas Todd married Elizabeth Edmondson, a daughter of Major John Edmondson (abt. 1765-bef. 1818) of Washington County, Virginia, on 20 Sept. 1822 in Washington County, VA. Thomas Todd died sometime after 1830 when he was listed in the U.S. Census of Washington County, Virginia. He is apparently NOT the Thomas Todd that died 1845 in Ozark County, Missouri; that appears to be a DIFFERENT Thomas Todd. Additional research and sources are needed regarding his family.
