[link link] Thomas Jr. died in 1736, there were still several parcels of land belonging to his father which had not been legally assigned to any heirs. By now, Worcester County has been organized, so these documents are in Worcester County, not Middlesex. Final settlement of the estate was made on Nov. 5, 1740, and in two places there is an identical list of the "ten heirs" of Thomas Sawyer: 1) Bazaleell Sawyer, 2 shares given him by his father Thomas; Abner Sawyer for 5 shares (nephew to Bazaleell); 2) Joshua; 3) James; 4) Caleb; 5) John; 6) Mrs. Bettee Osmors; 7) Widow Mary Wilder; 8) heirs of Mrs. Hannah Blood; 9) heirs of Mrs. Marther Woods; citing Worchester probate A52609 admin granted 10 Mar 1739/40 & Middlesex Land Records 12:714

  6.   Thomas Sawyer case # 19992 1706 , in Massachusetts, United States. Massachusetts, Wills and Probate Records, 1635-1991: Original data: Massachusetts County, District and Probate Courts. (Ancestry.com (database online)).

Will of Thomas Sawyer dated March 6, 1705-06, and proved April 12, 1720 bequeathed to wife Mary, sons Thomas, Joshua, James, Caleb and Nathaniel, and daughter Mary Wilder. The latter testified that she had her father and mother during eight or nine months while her brother Thomas was in captivity. Thomas Jr. presented to the court an accounting in 1721, which included a bill for keeping his mother eight and a half years. Thomas Jr presents a bill for three journeys to Cambridge at his mother's request "but could not obtain order for her to be executrix as John Leveritt, Esq Judge of Probate was not at leisure to attend it."
