1850 - Name given as Thomas PREGNAL on marriage certificate.

5 June 1860 - In the Mercury Newspaper, Page 3 Column 8: Thomas Pregnell begs respectfully to inform friends & public he has succeeded to the business of Mr Charles Lee, Butcher, Davey St, Hobart Town.

1867-68 - There is a Thomas Pregnell residing at 4 Campbell Street, Hobart. (http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~mwi/hobart1.txt)

4 April 1895 - There was an inquest into Thomas' sudden death which found "that the said Thomas Pregnell died from "natural causes" to Wit Rupture of the wall of the heart and not otherwise". An article relating to the death is in the Mercury.

5 April 1895 - One of the funeral notices states, "The members of the TASMANIAN PRIMATIVE LODGE are respectfully invited to attend funeral of late Brother Pregnell".

17 June 1896 - Probate granted. In his will (AD960/21) Thomas left property etc to Emma Corney and their children. The will also left provision for his children by his lawful wife (Jane Wing). Jane survived him by a few months and they are buried together. Although Thomas had purchased a plot of 10 at the Queenborough Cemetery in Hobart he was not buried there (some other relatives were).
