B. Cornelius, of Remlap, was among our callers last week." Obituary of Thomas Benton Cornelius The Southern Democrat Oneonta, Blount Co., Alabama January 9, 1936 "T. B. Cornelius Dead T. B. Cornelius, aged 88, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Rogers in Warrior Friday, January 3. Mr. Cornelius, for many years a resident of Remlap, was a well known citizen of this county. He had been a member of the Baptist church for 63 years, and was a man of noble Christian character. He is survived by his widow, two sons, T. M. Cornelius, of Delhi, Okla., and John Cornelius of Pinson; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Ragsdale, of Oneonta, Mrs. Belle Phillips, of Pinson and Mrs. Mary Rogers, of Warrior. Funeral services were held at Remlap Saturday, and were conducted by Rev. L. T. Fendley, with Owens of Warrior directing."
