Obituary of John Marion Cornelius, Sr. The Birmingham News Wednesday, May 29, 1963 Page 49, Column 4 DEATHS CORNELIUS - Mr. John Marian, age 82, of Pinson, Ala., passed away Tuesday p.m. at the residence. He is survived by 3 sons, W. C. Cornelius, G. R. Cornelius and John M. Cornelius, Jr.; 1 daughter, Mrs. Martha Hamer, all of Pinson; 15 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. J. M. Phillips, of Montgomery, and Mrs. Lula Ragsdale of Oneonta, Ala. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Pinson Methodist Church, the Rev. John B. Haskew officiating, interment the adjoining cemetery. Active pallbearers, Eugene Henderson, Doyle Good, George Little, Roy Lewis, Ralph Ingram and Esman Varner, Honorary pallbearers, Claude Palmer, Dr. A. S. Hutto, Frank Trucks, Dr. T. C. McCay, W. M. Little and Joe Powell. The remains will lie in state at the church one hour before time of service. Ridout's Brown-Service, Roebuck Chapel, directing.

Survivors include three sons, W. C. Cornelius, G. R. Cornelius, and John M. Cornelius Jr. of Pinson; two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Phillips, Montgomery, and Mrs. Lula Ragsdale, Oneonta; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Hamer, Pinson, and 15 grandchildren.
