    "Thomas (Chatfield), b. abt. 1621; d. at Easthampton, Long Island, before 1687; named in the wills of both of his parents; … He emigrated to New England in 1639, with his brothers, in Rev. Henry Whitfield's company, and settled at Guilford, Conn. A few years later he went to New Haven, and about 1660 removed thence to Easthampton, Long Island. …"
