    "George (Chatfield), b. abt. 1624: d. at Killingworth, Conn., 9 June 1671; named in the wills of both of his parents; m. (1) Sarah Bishop, who d. s.p. 20 Sept. 1657, dau. of John and Anne of Guilford, Conn.; m. (2) 29 Mar. 1659 Isabel Nettleton, dau. of Samuel and Mary of Milford, Conn. He emigrated to New England in 1639 with his older brothers and settled at Guilford, Conn., removing thence abt. 1663 to Killingworth, Conn. He was the ancestor of most of the American Chatfields."
