A funeral service for Thomas L. Carlisle, 71, of Granville, O., will be on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, Newark, with Elder Ronald D. Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Fultonham Cemetery, Fultonham, O.

Thomas L. Carlisle was born in New Philadelphia, O., on Dec. 28, 1934, to the late James Cooper and Helen M. (Reymond) Carlisle. He died on Thursday, Aug. 10, at his home after a long and courageous battle with Diffuse Lewy Body disease.

He graduated from the Ohio State University and he faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1998 as Executive Vice President of Performance Contracting Group, Lenexa, Kan., after 36 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Carole (Tracy) Carlisle of Granville, whom he married on Nov. 11, 1961; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Phillip Kaufman of South Windsor, Conn., Donna Carlisle and Susan and Kurt Moldrup of Manhattan, Kan.; one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Marcia Carlisle of Hawaii; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, James, Joseph and Daniel Carlisle, all of the New Philadelphia area; sisters, Faye Meese, June Crites, Wanda Golder, Marjorie Levengood, all of the New Philadelphia area, and Linda Edie of Pataskala, O. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Hibbs.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville St., Newark, on Sunday, Aug 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Assn.
