LADY LAKE Theresa R. Van Blarcom, 97, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011.
Ms. Van Blarcom was born in St. Joseph, Mich. She had worked in a factory installing windings in electric motors during World War II; was a member of Lady Lake United Methodist Church, where she was very active in church rummage sales, assisting the needy, worked as a secretary, and helped with the pancake breakfasts.
Ms. Van Blarcom is survived by a granddaughter, Ann Dee Duchow, Atlanta.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, with Pastor Chris Sanders officiating.
Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages.
