1856 -Deed Book G pg. 25, 26 (C:/Genealogy Pictures/Lisa's Side) "This indenture made this 17th day of March 1856 by and between George A Smith and Talitha Smith his wife of the and part of Samuel J Edward Long of the other part of Russell County Kentucky.... ...said Talitha Smith tato Ellis as her eleventh part of the land which descended to her from her father Peter Ellis decd..."

1856 -Deed Book G pg. 26 "Whereas by virtue of a decree of judgment of the Russell Circuit Court endered at the November term (thereof) in the year 1856 in the suit ** Equity of Samuel Long and Edward Long plaintiffs against George A. Smith * Defendant. It was among other things ordered and adjudged that the plaintiffs are entitled to have Conveyance of 8/11 of the land described in plaintifs petition from the heirs of John Ellis decd and 1/11 from Clayton & Peter Ellis and that George Bryan be and he was thereby appointed said sounty commissioner to convey from and on behalf of the hairs of John Elis decd. 8/11 of the land with Covenant of General Warranty so far as ______- and estate descended and of conveyance by general warranty for and on behalf of defendants Clayton Ellis & Peter Ellis ** one Eleventh of said land *** to effectuate said decrees and judgment. This indenture (witnesseth) that Betsey Ellis John Ellis sole _________ of John Ellis deceased and Clayton Ellis & Peter Ellis only hearis at law of George Ellis decd......"
