Death of Mrs. P. Wielenga.

After an illness of five months, Mrs. P. Wielenga died Sunday afternoon, of cancer of the stomach.

Deceased was 64 years of age and was born in Hymn, Friesland, in the year 1837.

She was married Nov. 26, 1857, and came to this country with her husband eleven years later.

After living in Virginia two years, they removed to Pella. Io., where they resided nine years.

In 1879 Mr. and Mrs. Wielenga came to Sioux county and settled on a farm a few miles north of town, where they lived until they became residents of Orange City, about 13 years ago.

She was the mother of twelve children, five of whom are living, they are L. and R. Wielenga, Mrs. S. De Groot of Chicago, Mrs. H. Mouw and Miss Alice Wielenga.

Mrs. Wielenga was a faithful and loving wife and mother, and a devout Christian.

The funeral took place yesterday at 1:30 o'clock from the house and at two o'clock from the Christian Ref. church of which the deceased was a member.
