Sylvester W. Grate (Fort Wayne Paper) ALBION - Feb. 24. - Sylvester W. Grate, retired farmer who celebrated his 100th birthday anniversary last July 30, died at 10 a.m. today at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nettie Grate, three miles southwest of here, where he had resided several years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. O. F. Riddle, Kendallville, and Mrs. William Rauh, Toledo; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a brother, John Grate, Auburn. The body was brought here to the Bonham & Miser Funeral Home, where friends may call after Friday noon. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with the Rev. Carl Sorensen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
