Biography

SWETEN GRANT was a taxpayer in 1805, and some years after lived where Novatus M. Blish now lives, and later on the north side of the road beyond Samuel M. Taylor's as you pass over the mountain towards Roxbury, and afterward bought the place where Mr. Canfield now lives near Bassett's, in the town of Harpersfield, where he remained several years and then removed to Albany, where he lived the rest of his years, which terminated on the twenty-first of August, 1871, when at the age of 85 years.
