Sveinung Gjermundsson Vreim

By 1615, Sveinung had taken over Vreim. He lived in Skoe in the 1620's, but lived at Vreim in the latter years of his life. He owned many farms: Vreim in Bø and Oppebøen in Seljord (both of which he had inherited); Midtsund in Kviteseid and Rui in Heddal (which he had obtained through marriage); Skoe in Bø, Dalene and Gåsdalen in Seljord and Skjella in Lunde (which he bought). He also mortgaged Erikstein midtgarden, Garvik and ytre Nes in Seljord and Hillestad in Sandsvær. In 1632, he gave Tveiten in Seljord to the king in exchange for Verpe in Lunde.[1]
Sveinung was sheriff of Bø from 1633 to 1640[1].

'I 1615 hadde Sveinung Gjermundsson teke over Vreim. Han var lensmann i bygda frå 1633 til 1640, og han tok straks til å leggje under seg gardar, så han i 1621 åtte 18 tn. jordegods. I 1624 er det opprekna såleis: Vreim i Bø, Oppebøen i Seljord, dette var odelsgods, dessutan Midtsund i Kviteseid og Rui i Heddal som var giftingsgods. Og så kjøpte han Skoe i Bø, Dalene og Gåsdalen i Seljord og Skjella i Lunde. Som pantegods hadde han Erikstein midtgarden, Garvik og ytre Nes i Seljord og Hillestad i Sandsvær. I 1632 bytte han gard med kongen slik at kongen fekk Tveiten i Seljord med 2 tn skyld og Sveinung fekk Verpe i Lunde med 1 tn. ... 'I 1620-åra budde Sveinung på Skoe, som han åtte storparten av. ... 'I 1647 var han død. Sveinung hadde lenge budd på Skoe, men i den seinare del av livet sitt budde han på Vreim.'
translation: In 1615 Sveinung Gjermundsson had taken over Vreim. He was sheriff of the community from 1633 until 1640, and he immediately took a survey of his farms, indicating that in 1621 he owned 18 tn. of land. In 1624 his lands counted up thus: Vreim in Bø, Oppebøen in Seljord, those were inherited, moreover Midtsund in Kviteseid and Rui in Heddal which he had obtained through marriage. And then he bought Skoe in Bø, Dalene and Gåsdalen in Seljord and Skjella in Lunde. As mortgaged land, he had Erikstein middle farm, Garvik and outer Nes in Seljord and Hillestad in Sandsvær. In 1632 he traded farms with the king so that the king got Tveiten in Seljord with 2 tn tax and Sveinung got Verpe in Lunde with 1 tn. ... In the 1620's Sveinung lived at Skoe, which he owned most of. In 1647 he was dead. Sveinung had long lived at Skoe, but in the latter part of his life he lived at Vreim.
