Obituary contributed by Jerry Jackson; transcribed by Janie Jackson Kimble: Susie A. Jackson Dies At Her Home Mrs. Susie A. Jackson, 75 . . . died at her home early this morning. . . She was born June 16, 1897 in Union township, a daughter of Cornelius and Sarah A. Rouch. She was married to Heber L. Jackson on March 18, 1919 . . . The Jacksons have always kept a home in Columbia City, but spent several years at a time between here and Portland, Oregon. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the First Church of God and its Women's Christian Service Council; also the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Survivors include her husband, Heber L.; two sons, Kenneth D. Jackson, Gillette, Wyomins, and Benjamin Paul Jackson, Warsaw; one daughter, Mrs. Archie (Martha) Hartman, R 6; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Four brothers and three sisters are deceased. . . . Interment will be in the Nolt cemetery.
