p 44 - 7 SUSANNA HESS, youngest child of Conrad Hess, was born at Springtown, Pa., January 7, 1786. She never was married, and for many years after the death of her parents, she made her home with her nephew, Israel Beidelman, a bachelor farmer, residing at Fountainville, Bucks County, Pa. After Israel Beidelman's death, in 1868, Susanna Hess returned to Springtown, where she and her niece, Catherine Beidelman, purchased the premises, now the property of Thomas H. Seifert, where Susanna died September 12, 1877, having reached the marvellous age of 91 years, 8 months and 3 days. Her body rests in the Hess "corner" of Springfield Church burying-ground.
