Jackson who was the victim of a "deliberate scheme and conspiracy" by Benjamin Andrews and family including mother, brothers, sister and others to defraud him over a period of 15 years of his share of the Jackson Hollow property. He had a one eleventh share (more than 70 lots) in the 200-300 acre property. He was turned out of his house and made homeless. After 15 years of litigation, the Supreme Court of New York State restored the property to Stephen's heirs.
