The will of Stephen Atwood of Eastham, husbandman, was dated 20 May 1715 and proved 12 July 1722. He gave his wife Apphia Attwood the whole improvement of all his property in Eastham for her natural life or widowhood. He named his sons Stephen (a double portion of the moveable estate), Eleazar and Joshua (both had already received their portions), and Thomas (the remainder of the real estate). The moveable estate was to be divided among "Sons and Daughters to Say M[achiel?] Atwood, Joseph Atwood & to my Daughters Hannah Atwood and Apphia Attwood." Barnstable Co Probate, 4:67-68.
