Sophia may have been conceived pre-marriage (note dates of Elizabeth's marriages). She lived with George Pearson family 1827. See Daniel Braught diary (visiting aunt Sophia Ritter in IA, 6 Mi. North of Burlington). See Dauphin Co. Will book D, pg. 412 and Orphan Court Docket F, pg.209 regarding McAllister, Alexander. Dan'l Braucht journal mentioned that Sophia's mother (Eliz. Oldenburg-Imboden-McAllister) was with her during his 1847 visit to her. Another record sets her birthdate as 12 Aug 1793, but that is clearly in error. Dorothy Swanson claims to have a certificate of her 1810 birth. Marriage and children birth dates are pure guesses based upon her birth date. Dorothy Swanson gives her middle name as Caroline, married to Daniel Reiter.
