    1. Age on 1850 Census given as 30 (1820).

    2. Simon Drummy is recorded in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Index as interred October 20 1872. It is noted therein that he was later transferred to Mt. Calvary. Dr. "Bill" visited the family plot in Mt. Calvary in 1974, and described the grave in a letter addressed to "Dear Family", in August of 1974.

    3. Licking Co. does not have a death record for him - possibly destroyed by fire. Newark "Advocate" newspaper archives for this date not available at Newark Public Library/Genealogy Society.

    4. On the 1860 Newark Census, a Charles Drummey, age 8, is listed. This is actually Charles Flannagan, who was apprenticed to Simon in August, 1860. Charles does not appear on the 1870 or 1880 Census with this family. See also Charles Flannagan in this database.

    5. In a letter, Michael Patrick states that Simon believed he was born in 1810.

    6. Simon is the baptismal sponsor of Joannam Driscoll, child of Florentius Driscoll, 7 January 1861.

    7. In a passport applicaton, 9 May 1924, Michael Patrick says Simon embarked from the port of Cork and came to the United States about 1849. MP's passport application says Simon resided continuously in the United States until his death. Simon was naturalized 21 April 1855, in Newark, Ohio.
