1. Moved from New York to Dubuque Co. in 1854.Family moved from Dubuque Co., IA to Delaware Co. in 1867 Lived near Castle Grove for many years.

3. Naturalized as US Citizen 4 Oct 1859. (No additional information is on the index card as photographed.)
4. The 1850 US Census for Skaneatles, Onondaga Co., NY, shows William and Johanna have a child, Michael, age 8, born in Ireland, living with them. Who is this? [Possibly a brother of Joanna Ahern?]
5. The families of Timothy Mahoney, Simon Drummey and William reside in the same house in 1850.
6. Moved to Ryan, IA 1852
7. Death notice in local paper, 11 Aug 1893, gives cause of death as dropsy. Age at death 74.
8. US Census 1880, Hazel Green Twp., Delaware, IA, has a Thomas Drummey, cousin, age 40, living with family of William John Drummy. This may be a cousin from Ireland (see Tom Drummy).
9. Cause of death: dropsy.
10. On 1880 Census, Thomas Drummey, age 40, a cousin, resides with Wm. John and Johanna. This is probably "Old Tom" mentioned by Fr. Clair, B&B, page 362.
