Died of heart failure at age 61. (Kiowa Co. Signal, Dec. 4, 1908) In the Probate Court of Kiowa County, In the State of Kansas, In the Matter of the Estate of S.A. Thorpe, deceased. It is hereby agreed by and between Mary M. Thorpe, personally and as administratrix of the estate of S. A. Thorpe, deceased party of the first part and Wesley Thorpe and Walter Thorpe and Gerald Thorpe, three of the heirs at law of S. A. Thorpe, deceased, that said Mary M. Thorpe, shall pay to the said Wesley Thorpe and Walter Thorpe and Gerald Thorpe, each the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250), in full settlement of their claims in full for all of their distributive shares of their father's, the said S. A. Thorpe, deceased, estate, both real and personal. and that said sum of $250 to each of them is hereby received and accepted in full settlement of all of their claims as an heir of the said S. A. Thorpe, deceased, and they do hereby release the said Mary M. Thorpe, in her personal capacity and also as administratrix of said estate from any and all liability to them on account of them being an heir of said S. A. Thorpe, deceased, and also release her heirs and assigns from such liability and all claims to any part of said estate. The receipt of said money is hereby acknowledged, this the 16th day of January, A.D., 1909. s/ Mary M. Thorpe s/Wesley Thorpe s/Walter Thorpe s/Gerald S. Thorpe Mary M.
