MILITARY RECORDS:

Silas H. Seaver of Manchester, Vermont served in the Union Army in the Civil War. He enlisted as a Private on 28 August 1862 in Company C, 14th Infantry Regiment of Vermont. He received a disability discharge on 31 January 1863. He died 20 July 1889 in Moretown, Vermont ("Military Records of Individual Civil War Soldiers," compiled by Historical Data Systems, online database viewed at www.ancestry.com).
