Source:Hodgman, Edwin R. History of the Town of Westford in the County of Middlesex, Massachusetts, 1659-1883, p. 470, says that Sarah Read who m. 1741 Samuel Corey was d/o Thomas Read and Sarah Fletcher, b. 1712. This appears to be incorrect. A birth date in 1712 does not match the age at death of the first wife of Samuel Corey, whereas the birth of this Sarah Reed in early 1719 matches perfectly. Further, the probate files of John Reed identify his daughter Sarah as deceased in 1769, and the first wife of Samuel Corey d. 1753. Finally, the last child of Samuel Corey and first wife Sarah was a daughter named Jane, which matches the name of the wife of John Reed.
