INFORMATION TAKEN FROM THE TEXAS DEATH CERTIFICATE Mrs. Sarah Bassell, wife of J.D. Bassell, was born in South Carolina, on April 20, 1859, the daughter of Neal Messer. At the time of her death on December 23, 1929, she was married, a housewife, and 70 years 8 months 2 days of age. She died from a brain hemorrhage, and had been under a doctor's care for two days. Burial was in Belton, Bell County, Texas, at the North Belton Cemetery, on December 24, 1929. M. Eads & Son handled the arrangements.
