    Obit: Sarah Ellen Barley, 68, Franfort, died unexpectedly at 2:56 p.m. March 31, 2002, in Lafayette Home Hospital.

    Mrs. Bartley grew up in the Forest and Michigantown areas and graduated from Michigantown High School in 1951. She was a homemaker and worked at Jules Simon and the National Cigar Factory. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Forest Bapitst Church.

    Mrs. Bartley was born September 6, 1933 in Forest to Paul and Bernice Altic Laughner. She married Raymond M. Bartley on December 17, 1961, in Clinton County, and he died January 10, 2000.

    Surviving are two sons, Steve W. of rural Frankfort, and Mike B. of Frankfort; a daughter, Lisa R. McKinzie of rural Frankfort; a brother, Danny Laughner of Michigantown; a sister, Velma Stewart of Frankfort; three grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

    One step-son preceded her in death.
