Raymond M. Bartley, 73, Frankfort, died at 1:40 a.m. January 10, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, after an extended illness.
Mr. Bartley was a conductor for Nickel Plate Railroad, and retired after 40 years. He attended Frankfort High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Philippines during World War II.
He was a member of Clinton Masonic Lodge 54, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and Murat Shrine, Indianapolis.
He was born November 23, 1926, in Clinton County, to Buley J. and Dora Emberton Bartley. He married Sarah Laughner on December 17, 1961, and she survives.
He also is survived by two sons, Steve W. Bartley of rural Frankfort, and Mike B. Bartley of Frankfort; a daughter, Lisa R. McKinzie of rural Frankfort; a brother, James T. Bartley of Frankfort; two sisters, Betty Reger of Hollister, Missouri and Linda Schimmel of rural Frankfort; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One son preceded (Raymond Eugene Bartley) him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel, with Bruce White officiating.
Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.
