Sarah went the family to Centerville, IN and married Josiah Allen. They set up housekeeping near Brookville in Franklin Co., IN and reared a large family. Her marriage to Josiah met with disapproval because he was not a Quaker. According to the records of the White Water Monthly Meeting in Wayne Co., IN, " Sarah Allen (formerly Harvey), condemn her marriage contrary to discipline."
