Sarah Elizabeth Dunbar was born and died in what is now Benton County, Mississippi. During her lifetime it was still referred to as the Southern Subdivision, Tippah County, PO Office Pine Grove.

In 1859, at 19 she married in Tippah County to 20 year old Calvin Luther Street. She died at the young age of 28. Calvin subsequently moved to Hardeman County, TN where he remarried.

(Benton County was formed in 1870 from part of Tippah and Marshall County.)
