Sarah Robinson Cooper was born on 29th March 1871 at South Hylton in the parish of Ford, County Durham. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Jane Cooper, formerly Robinson, and her husband John George Cooper, a joiner. Sarah appears in the 1871 census as a four day old baby living with her parents and siblings at Union Street in South Hylton. She was still living with her parents and siblings in both the 1881 and 1891 censuses, each time at Ferry Boat Row in South Hylton. In 1891 she was described as a domestic servant.
Sarah has yet to be researched after 1891.
