From The Wetmore family of America:

He was a member of the Middlefield society; removed with his family to Winchester, Ct., on election day, 1771, where he purchased land. The farm that he then settled still [circa 1861] remains in the possession of his descendants, as will be seen in the pages following. He died Dec.30, 1773, and was the first person interred in the old Winchester burying-ground. His wife [the former Hannah Hubbard, b. 21 july 1700] died in W[inchester] June 4, 1794.[2]
