Samuel Keyte was baptised on 30th October 1767 at Shipston-on-Stour, which was then in Worcestershire. He was the son of Mary Keyte, formerly Higgins, and her husband, John Keyte. Samuel was a twin, having a brother called John. Sadly, Samuel died only a few weeks after his baptism, being buried at Shipston on 7th December 1767.
