Samuel was found in the 1900 and the 1910 census, living with his mother, Marie/Myria Jackson, in Minneapolis, Ottawa Co., KS and in the 1920 and 1930 census below.

From "Home Folks" (available on this site; see Table of Contents, Historical Stories) "Sam never married, but remained at home with Mother Jackson and took care of her as long as she lived. . . After Grandma passed away in 1917, Sam also moved to Colorado". But according to the census below, the move to Colorado didn't happen until after 1920.
