- ↑ MRS. VANDER PLAATS DIES
A telegram was received here on Monday from California that Mrs. Sarah Vander Plaats died there that day at Modesto. She was a sister of Mrs. A. TePaske and of R. D. Dykstra of this place, and of Rev. B. D. Dykstra of Orange City and Mrs. H. Roorda. Sr.. of Rock Valley. She is also survived by two sons and two daughters, all residing in California. The family used to reside in Sioux county. Interment took place in California Wednesday. She was sixtynine at the time of her death. Sioux Center News 1933-10-05.
