Jackson 1918-2004 Ruth Nadine Jackson, 86, of Chugwater died May 31 at Sierra Hills Assisted Living in Cheyenne. She was born Feb. 12, 1918, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Daisy (Reeves) Young. She was educated at Iowa Center near Chugwater and graduated from Iowa Center High School. She married Warren P. Jackson on June 17, 1938, in Cheyenne. They ranched and farmed in the Iowa Center area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Ladies Aide, Goshen County Cattlewomen, Iowa Center Grange, Order of Eastern Star, Wives Study Guild, and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed baking, gardening and sewing. She is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Warren; three sons, Virgil Jackson of Chugwater, Dan Jackson of Chugwater and Gary Jackson of Minnetonka, Minn.; a daughter, Donna Short of Gresham, Ore.; a brother, Wilbur Young of Van Nuys, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carson Young; and two sisters, Marie Swanson Rosentreter and Joyce Rhoades. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Chugwater with the Rev. Louise Cordova officiating. Interment will be in the Chugwater Cemetery near Chugwater.
