Nathaniel Day to John Lane recorded 17 Oct 1700 Be it Known unto all men by these presents that I Nathaniel Day of Glousster in ye County of Essex in New England for & in consideration of a Certain Summe of money to me in hand paid by John Lane of same Towne . . . . with the Consent of my wife Ruth . . . . sell . . . all that my parcel of upland Containing eighteen acres more or less Scituate & lying on the North East side of flat stone Cove . . . being the Three First Lotts of the Cape Division and bounded by a White Oake at ye west corner & by a black birch tree on ye East Corner & by beach Tree at ye North East Corner & by a pine Tree at ye Northermost Corner Ye Two lott bounds mentioned parting between ye [abounded] Day & ye [abounded] Lane which is now ye buyer . . . Also another parcel of upland it being three fifth parts of a six acre Lott which ye above said Day bought of William Stevens lying near Piggin Cove Signed 21 July in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred & in ye Twelfth yeare of his Maj his Reigne Nathaniel N his mark Day, R ye mark of Ruth Day Witnesses: Joseph Allin, Samuel Sargent, James Davies Jr.
