Rose Walby was baptised on 19th January 1661 at Aston in Hertfordshire, daughter of Martha Walby, formerly Smith, and her husband George Walby, a butcher. When Rose was just a few months old her father died. Rose was left five pounds in his will, to be paid after her mother's death.

It would appear that Rose never married. She died at the age of 45, and was buried at Aston on 12th August 1706.
