Telegraph Herald (Dubuque, IA) - December 12, 2004 CASCADE, Iowa - Ronald L. Ripple, 52, of Hiawatha, formerly of Cascade, died at 6:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m. He was born on Nov. 5, 1952, in Cascade, son of J.C. and Agnese (Regan) Ripple. He married Susan Timmer on April 25, 1979. He was a graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth. Ronald was a former member of the Cascade Jaycees Young Men's Association. Surviving are his wife, Susan Ripple, of Hiawatha; a daughter, Melissa Ripple, at home; his mother and stepfather, Agnese and Joseph Hayes, of Cascade; four brothers, John Craig (Kathy) Ripple, of Peosta, Michael Lynn Ripple, of Clive, his twin, Roger (Julie) Ripple, of Cascade, and Pat (Kathy) Hayes, of Simpsonville, S.C.; a sister, Mary Ann (James) Reilly, of Omaha, Neb.; a brother-in-law, Gary (Rosemary) Timmer, of Rochester, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Paul, of Hiawatha. He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Ripple, on Dec. 24, 1952. In lieu of flowers, a Ronald L. Ripple Memorial Fund has been established for the American Cancer Society and the family. |
