According to the 1860 census Joe was born approximately 1850 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. He was 10 years old born in KKentucky and sided with his parents; Johnson and Sarah Wilson and his 6 siblings in Montgomery County, Kentucky. [2]
According to the 1870 Census Joseph Wilson was 19 years old. The census just listed “At home” under employment and that he could not write. He resided with his parents; Johnson and Sarah Wilson and his 7 siblings in Aarons Run, Montgomery County, Kentucky. [3]
He married Mary C (Scott) Wilson (1852-) on 14 May 1874 in Nicholas County, Kentucky, United States. [4]

In 1880 Robert was living with his wife Mary C. Wilson and their 3 children in Sharpsburg, Bath County, Kentucky, United States. His mother-in-law was also with them. [5]
According to the 1900 census Joe was born May of 1852. Him and his wife Mary had 5 children in their home. They had moved back to Montgomery County and he was working as a farmer on the farm they they owned free and clear. He could not read or write. [6]
He passed away on 25 October 1903 in Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States.
He was laid to rest in Wilson_Graveyard [1].
