Robert Oliphant TIMMS, b. abt 1848. Robert (d. 1915) married Margaret Mickle LYALL (b. 1854), daughter of William Lyall (?1809-?81) and Annabella Brown (1826-1916) (mepnab site). Margaret was probably niece of Julia Lyall (1819-90), wife of Henry Anderson (b. 1807); Henry was uncle of Robert Oliphant Timms. Robert Oliphant Timms of Kurack married Margaret Mickle, 2nd daughter of William Lyall of Harewood, 29mar1876 at Harewood. Robert Oliphant Timms was bur at Heidelberg Cemetery aug1915 (Melbourne Argus). Margaret Mickle Lyall (1853 Westernport, Victoria-1944 Warragul, Victoria) (M. Cotter). Robert Oliphant Timms was resident in 1909 and 1914 at Victoria (electoral roll) and d. 1915 at Australia (ancestry.com). Mrs. Timms reported in 1937 that her father, William Lyall, had coursed hares from 1858 (Melbourne Argus). Cambridge alumni: TIMMS, ROBERT OLIPHANT.Adm. pens. at TRINITY, Feb. 22, 1868.
