Henrietta Anderson BLACK was b. abt 1846. Henrietta Anderson BLACK married Harry Alexander TIMMS 20mar1872 at Anderston, Glasgow (IGI). Henrietta married her cousin (family letters); their mothers were Andersons. Harry was b. 29oct1845 at Geelong, Victoria, Australia, 3rd son of William Fowler of Drumquhassie, Stirlingshire, and Cecilia Anderson, daughter of Alexander Anderson, esq., of Chapel, Fife (Cambridge alumni). In 1892 Harry Alexander Timms became Capt in Volunteer Battalion, Galloway (London Gazette). Harry Alexander Timms, JP, Deputy Lieut for the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, late of Slogarie, 3rd son of William Fowler Timms of Mt. Hesse, Victoria, d. 1may1935 at Netherwood Bank, Dumfries, aged 91 (Times). In 1891 and 1901 Harry A. Timms (1845 Victoria, Australia, living on own means), wife Henrietta A. (1846 Victoria), children, b. Drymen, Stirlings., Herbert P. (1874), Edith C. M. (1876) and 6 servants were at Slogavie, Balmaghie, Kirkcudbrightshire (census); in 1901 the family was "Simms"; in 1891 Herbert was not counted. The place should probably be Slogarie.
