He may be the Robert W. 'Shanklin' who married Jennie Morgan on 11 Oct 1876 in Moniteau Co., Missouri.

 If so, they are listed in the 1880 census for Fulton, Callaway Co., Missouri, as Robert Shankland, 25 born Missouri (parents Virginia), teamster; wife Jennie 22 born Pennsylvania (parents Wales); and son Harry, 2 born Missouri (father MO, mother PA).  Brother-in-law William Morgan is 24, born Pennsylvania (parents Wales), coal miner. {Page 576C}
 They are found in Columbia, Boone Co., Missouri in the 1900 (R H Shanklin), 1910, 1920 (Shanklin) and 1930.
 There are death records for Mrs. Jennie Shankland in 1927, Robert W. in 1930, and Harry L. in 1948 -- all in Columbia, Boone Co., Missouri.  However, none show maiden names of mothers. Robert's cause of death was 'drowning in well - suicide.'
