Moved to Frost, Texas in early 1966. He and Flora didn't like it, the house they lived in, the business wasn't going well and Bruce didn't list it on his resume. His daughter Anne says the business didn’t go well because the state of Texas cancelled his prescription writing priveleges.

Funeral Set Saturday for Dr. Palmer (Mortuary Notice) Date: 1968-10-05 Section D Page 5; Paper: Dallas Morning News Historical Archive (c) Copyright, 2003, The Dallas Morning News Funeral Set Saturday for Dr. Palmer Funeral services for Dr. Robert Bruce Palmer, 62, of 5730 Vanderbilt, a retired physician, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Restland Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park. Dr. Palmer, a native of Henrietta, Clay County, died here Thursday. He retired in 1967 and he moved to Dallas. He formerly practiced in Lincoln, Neb., and in Lewisville, Denton County. Dr. Palmer was a graduate of Southwestern University at Georgetown and the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. He interned and did resident work at City Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Palmer was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. During Woald War II, he served three years in the South Pacific as lieutenant colonel in the Medical Corps. Survivors: Two daughters, Mrs. Harry L. Hines of Stockton, Calif., and Mrs. Charles K. Haskett (wrong - it’s Hackett) of Tallahasee, Fla. and two sisters, Mrs. Bret B. Watson of Barry, Ill., and Mrs. George T. Short of Dallas.
