    3. Robert, who obtained a crown charter of the lands of Baldoran on 6 October 1545, but these lands were also claimed on behalf of his young nephew William Livingston, fifth of Kilsyth, who was granted sasine to them on the tenth of the same month on a precept of Clare Constat executed by the superior Walter Stewart. Robert thereupon lodged a formal protest that the granting of this sasine should not prejudice his claim to the feu of these lands, in which he declared he had been duly infeft by his late father, but nothing seems to have come of this protest, and as there is no further mention of this Robert Livingston he probably died soon afterwards without leaving any issue.
